IF YOU have ever thought of being involved in local theatre, then now is your chance.

Playgoers Riverhead Theatre in Louth is holding an open evening next Wednesday, August 31, from 6pm to 9pm.

The theatre is always looking for new people to help with the running of the theatre and there are lots of opportunities in many different areas.

You can get involved in front of house, including bar, selling sweets, ices and programmes or at the box office as well as backstage support for productions including properties, wardrobe, set building, lighting, sound and stage crew.

You don’t need experience, as there are plenty of people to guide newcomers in their chosen area.

All that is needed is a willing pair of hands

Chairman, Dave Kettle, said: “People can simply come along and have a coffee and chat with some of our volunteers who will try to answer all their questions.

“We need volunteers in every area and it is a great social outlet as well.”
