THE Wolds Singers are tuning up for two concerts this month.

On Wednesday, July 20, they will be performing at the Angel Suite in Brigg, then on Sunday, July 24, they will be at St Hugh’s Church in Ashby Road, Scunthorpe.

The choir is gradually increasing its repertoire and new pieces will be included in the programme.

Their guests will be the well respected baritone, Ken Carruthers and David Hand, known for his leading roles in local amateur operatic shows.

Tickets are available for both concerts from the secretary Pat Mirkin on 01724 763501 or choir members.

The Brigg concert costs £6.50 and the Scunthorpe concert £4; both include refreshments.

Musical Director, Carole Mundy would also welcome any new members interested in joining this popular and friendly ladies choir.

Rehearsals are held in The Old Brumby United Church, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe on Mondays from 7pm to 9pm.
