THE WOLDS Walking Festival comes to an end this Sunday with a flourish and a grand finale.
Four walks, varying in length and time, will set off from Partney, returning all at the same time to cut the festival cake.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of walks still to enjoy before then.
Tomorrow, Thursday, enjoy an easy evening walk around Caistor, learning something of the town’s history with leader Alan Dennis. Meet at the Market Place lion ready to set off at 6pm. The walk will be repeated on Friday, June 3, at 2pm.
Also on Friday is the ten-mile Chocolate Walk, which will leave Willingham Woods at 10am and return by way of Special Edition Chocolates for a free drink and tasting.
An evening walk along part of the Viking Way will set off at 6pm from the White Hart in Ludford on Friday too, while on Saturday there is the chance to take the train to Barnetby and walk a different part of the Viking Way to Caistor before catching the bus back to Market Rasen.
Full details of these and the many other walks being held this week are available in the festival booklet, on the website www.woldswalkingfestival.co.uk or by calling 01507 609740.
