Trot up to Bricktree Gallery at Jim’s Yard just outside Tealby this Friday to help local charity Happy Hooves and learn to paint with #AnnieSloanLate.
Bricktree Gallery at Jim’s Yard, Bully Hill Top, is inviting shoppers to enjoy a full day of fun activities from 8am to 9pm, including creative painters providing demonstrations, plus hints and tips on how to create unique pieces of painted furniture using Annie Sloan’s decorative paint, Chalk Paint™.
“We have been part of the Annie Sloan Stockist community since October 2013,” said Sarah Lamballe, owner of Bricktree Gallery and co-owner of Jim’s Yard.
“As a group, the UK stockists collectively decided that if we joined forces we could potentially raise a lot of money for charity.”
The all day event is free to the public, with bookings available for ‘Breakfast on the back lawn’, ‘Pop in and Paint’, ‘Dip into Decoupage’ and ‘Summer Stencils’ for a small fee, all to help raise vital funds for Happy Hooves Equestrian Assisted Learning Centre, which offers the benefits of learning with Clydesdale horses to everyone, especially children, within the local community.
Raffle tickets will also be on sale with the opportunity to win Annie Sloan goodies and a host of original arts and crafts from featured artists and crafters who sell through Bricktree Gallery, plus reclaimed treasures, donated by James Kendall from The Salvage Shed, which will also be open from 8am to 9pm.
“I am passionate about making a difference locally and Happy Hooves is a great fit for us, as the Clydesdales are a rare breed and tell the story of Lincolnshire’s working agricultural heritage,” added Sarah.
“Dan will be bringing some vintage pieces currently being restored and the horses will be in the yard on the day for people to meet them and ask the Happy Hooves team questions about how working with heavy horses can be so beneficial to the confidence and self esteem of children and adults alike.
“It’s not dissimilar to the amazing way working with Chalk Paint™ makes you feel.”
