Three scouts from Grasby are celebrating the completion of the highest award in the scout section

Archie Bennett, Harry Gates and Cormac Knowles have been members of 1st Grasby Scouts for four years and during that time have taken part in a wide range of activities.

And now they have been presented with the Chief Scout’s Gold Award.

“They have worked extremely hard to gain these awards, learning new skills, helping the community and having fun.

It takes real dedication to get to Gold,” said Scout Leader Dave Waite.

For Harry and Cormac the final challenge was to lead an expedition to York, while Archie is looking forward to representing the troop at the World Jamboree in Japan this summer.

For the scouts, this is not the end of the story. A Viking Explorer Unit has recently started up in Caistor offering challenge adventure and friendship for scouts, male or female, aged 14 to 18.
