Chatroom: What happens online, stays online?

Younger adult members of Lindsey Rural Players have not only been running a children’s summer school but have also produced this topical short play.

Chatroom takes to the stage at the Broadbent Theatre in Wickenby this Saturday, August 31.

The play is based around six teenage characters who delve into a world of uncertainty - the internet.

The story focuses on Jim, a depressed teenager who goes online in search of help, comfort and understanding.

Instead he finds William, Jack, Eva, Emily and Laura, who welcome him with open arms and urge him to air his grievances; but their motives aren’t what they first seem.

Performances at 2.30pm and 7.30pm; contains some language inappropriate to younger audiences.
