Trouble in store at the warehouse

A comic package of warehouse life comes to Louth’s Riverhead Theatre, as Shifting Sands Theatre present Boxed In.

Ralph works in the warehouse - he loves his job and prides himself on it.

Before he retires, he wants to pass on all he knows to the “new boy”.

But he’s in for a shock as the new boy turns out to be Kate - a young woman with a degree in International Distribution Logistics.

His traditional ways clash with her cutting-edge methodology and they cannot see eye to eye on anything.

Like Laurel and Hardy, they play tricks and struggle to outdo one another.

Packed lunches, tea breaks, the royal family, changing lockers, motivational jargon, paper clips, toilet rolls, hobbies, holidays – they argue about absolutely everything.

The warehouse becomes a battleground.

Dumbfounded when their warehouse world falls apart, they find themselves in a bleak wasteland where they confront, with comic precision, the meaning of life.

And their destination is a finale where Ralph discovers The Philosophy of Boxes.

Suitable for the whole family, Boxed In is a clown theatre show and will be on stage at the Riverhead next Wednesday, May 1 at 7.30pm.
