A tribute show to one of the comedy greats takes to the stage at two local theatres this month as part of a three-counties tour.
Local professional theatre company Hambledon Productions return to the Broadbent Theatre, Wickenby and Louth Playgoers Riverhead Theatre for two very special performances of their brand new production ‘Just Like That: The Tommy Cooper Show.
The company is run by brother-and-sister team John and Rachael Hewer, and John is delighted to be given the opportunity by The Tommy Cooper Estate and Tommy’s daughter Vicky to write and star in this tribute show celebrating all things TC.
“To commemorate 30 years since his passing, the show is a compilation of rarely seen material from his early cabaret days and the very best of his gags and tricks from his later extensive repertoire,” he said.
Just Like That is at the Broadbent on Friday, April 25, tickets from 01673 885500 or www.broadbent.org, and Louth Playgoers on Saturday, April 26, with tickets from 01507 600350 or www.louthplaygoers.com
