Phoenix Players present “Breaking the Code” by Hugh Whitemore this week at the Broadbent Theatre in Wickenby.
The play tells the story of Alan Turing, a brilliant mathematician, founder of computer science and a key player in the breaking of the German Enigma code.
It was on Churchill’s specific instructions Turing was given all the resources he required – and his personal behaviour tolerated. However, the system eventually catches up with Alan.
Performances are on Thursday October 15 to Saturday 17th at 7.30pm, with tickets £9 and £8 from www.broadbenttheatre.org or the box office on 01673 885500.
