CHRISTMAS sees the traditional North Lincolnshire pantomime at the Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe, with a Brigg girl in a lead part.
Laura Johnson takes the role of Dandini in the classic rags to riches story of Cinderella.
The story tells of poor girl Cinderella and her two ugly sisters, who conspire to keep Cinders away from the ball in a bid to stop her meeting with Prince Charming.
Cinderella plays out on the stage until Sunday, January 1.
Dan Harris, general manager at the Plowright Theatre, said: “Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas at the Plowright without the appearance of ugly sister Annie Fanny, but this year there is twice the fun in store as she is bringing her evil sister, Fanny Annie.”
Twists and turns keep the plot ticking along, but Baron Hard-Up helps ensure Cinders meets her Prince.
“With fabulous sets, colourful costumes and a production packed with laughs, panto-time at the Plowright is shaping up to once again be an unmissable treat for family and friends,” added Dan.
