Everyone likes a school Nativity play - but everyone will love The Flint Street Nativity.
The December offering from Louth Playgoers sees the adults play the children, and later their parents, in this warm, witty and funny play.
It is certainly an alternative to the usual Christmas fare, with original lyrics set to the tunes of Christmas carols.
Squabbles arise when Gabriel wants to play Mary, the Star grumbles he’s not a proper star like they have at NASA, Herod won’t stop waving to his mum and dad and the subversive Innkeeper is determined to liven up the traditional script. And then the stick insect escapes.
The Flint Street Nativity runs from Monday December 7 to Saturday December 12 nightly at 7.30pm; it may be considered unsuitable for younger children.
Tickets are £8 from the Box Office on 01507 600350 open Monday-Saturday 10am-1pm or you can book online at www.louthplaygoers.com
