Taking you back to days of steam

RELIVE the days of steam this weekend – in miniature.

The famous ‘O’ gauge Gainsborough Model Railway, representing the East Coast main line from King’s Cross to Leeds Central in the 1940s and 50s, will be open this Saturday and Sunday to coincide with Gainsborough Town Festival.

The railway fills the whole of a former Victorian school and runs to a timetable.

It is run by enthusiastic volunteers and will be open from 1.30pm-6pm.

The clubrooms are in Florence Terrace.

Admission is £4 for adults, with senior citizens and children £3 or a family ticket (2 + 2) for £10.
