Brigg born North Lincolnshire Mayor Peter Clark is set to end his mayoral year in style.

To support the mayor’s chosen charity - When you Wish Upon a Star - the Royal Air Force Swing Wing Band will be performing for the first time in the area.

They will be in concert at the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe on Friday, April 4.

“We are honoured to have this very popular big band come to the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe to perform in aid of my charity ‘When you wish upon a Star’,” said Mr Clark.

“The Band has performed in the UK and overseas at many different venues and it will be fantastic to hear this one-off performance playing music from the James Bond films.

“Don’t miss your chance to see them perform - it’s going to be a night to remember.”

Tickets are available from scunthorpetheatres.co.uk or in person at the Baths Hall Box Office - £15.

Doors open 6.30pm, concert starts 7.30pm.

When You Wish Upon A Star makes dreams come true for children with terminal and incurable illnesses.

Every year the charity takes around 90 local children on a magical day trip to Lapland from Humberside Airport.

The concert is also in aid of the RAF Benevolent Fund.
