Brigg is hosting its first ever River Festival this Saturday, May 24, an event that will have lots of exciting activities for all the family to enjoy.
From mid morning, local people and visitors can take part in everything from rowing and canoeing taster sessions to a guided walk along the river bank, as well as watching the water polo event and cheer on their favourite team.
Brigg Rowing Club and the Glanford Canoe Club are organising fun-filled activities for the day and everyone is encouraged to have a go.
Most of the activities will take place close to the County Bridge and details of what is going on can be found on the Ancholme River Trust’s stall located in the market place.
People can also take part in the free ‘Walking the Way to Health’ riverside walk, setting off from Brigg Tourist Information Office at 11am.
For more information about the walk contact Christine Johnson on 07717 586380 or email email@example.com .
“It is set to be a great event that is making the most of Brigg’s fantastic river Ancholme,” said Coun Rob Waltham, Chairman of the Ancholme River Trust.
