RECENTLY formed blues band Bad Nadz perform at the next Sunday blues session at The Hope Tavern, Holton le Moor.

Almost a local band by Tavern standards, Bad Nadz will follow a host of international performers who take the stage at the regular Tavern Blues sessions.

This foursome, with a wealth of experience, includes Mick Pearl on bass, whose past bands include 70s London band Hackin Sack, Street Band, and more recently, Paul Young and the Q tips.

Colin Moss, on lead guitar and vocals, paid his dues as a session musician with many touring bands and may be remember from his time with the legendary Mick Pini.

Mark Barret on drums joins the band having been with top blues outfit The Hoax.

Dickie “Gabby” Gabbitas is on vocals, lead guitar and slide, and boasts a whole who’s who in the music world of past bands, including Gallagher and Lyle, and Godley and Cream. He has also shared the stage with Steve Marriot and even Paul McCartney and Ringo Star.

With this pedigree, the audience can look forward to an afternoon of top class blues classic covers ranging from Robert Johnson to Albert King to Hendrix.

The performance starts at 4pm and the door charge is £6.
