Texan songstress Carrie Elkin takes to the stage at Kirton in Lindsey this month.
Described as a born performer, possessing an infectious energy and having the most powerful voice, which is revelatory and riveting, Carrie will be performing at Kirton Town Hall Live on Sunday September 28.
When she was younger, Carrie was a national champion gymnast.
Music, however, was in her blood.
In 2011, she released her debut CD for Red House Records ‘Call It My Garden’ and the CD immediately topped the folk and Americana Radio Charts in the states.
In May this year she released a duo album ‘For Keeps’ with her partner, and soon to be husband, Danny Schmidt.
For Kirton Town Hall Live, Carrie will be joined by accomplished musicians Anthony Da Costa on guitar/vocals and Lindsey Verill on bass/cello/vocals.
Support will come from Manchester singer/songwriter Little Rach, who herself released her debut album ‘If You Go’ earlier in the year.
Advance tickets cost £11 from the One Stop store in the town, Brian on 01652 649230 or from www.wegottickets.com
