Sussex band Red Butler make a rare trip north for this Sunday’s Blues Session at The Hope Tavern in Holton le Moor.
Generally described as rock/blues, but with a vocalist that drops in a few Etta James numbers, these musicians cover a wide range of blues styles.
Fronted by the vocals of Jane Pearce, this lively young band has quickly made a name for themselves and after supporting many of the top acts on the Blues circuit are starting to headline in their own right following appearances on the Paul Jones Show (BBC Radio 1) and major festivals.
Heightened exposure has brought many rewards and Red Butler are now receiving invitations to perform throughout the country at forthcoming festivals and high profile support slots.
The band has been mentioned a number of times by the blues media culminating in the award for ‘Best New UK Act’ 2014 via the Writers Poll for Blues Matters Magazine.
The show will be on Sunday, March 22, at 4pm and the door charge is £8.
