This week’s Blues session at the Hope Tavern features another young rising star on the UK Blues scene.

Greg Coulson and his Band play at the Holton le Moor venue on Sunday, November 3.

Better known for his Keyboard playing with Two-Tone band “Selecter”, Greg indulges his passion for Blues/R&B whenever his schedule allows by fronting his own band.

With the Hammond instead of the usual guitar leading the way, they definitely invoke memories of the Rhythm and Blues sound of the 60s and 70s.

Greg has been writing his own material for the past six years and has relished in the opportunity to recently record his debut album ‘Stitch’.

The line up of the Rhythm section is indicative of the seriousness of the 22-year-old’s rare forays onto the UK Blues Circuit with Stuart Dixon on lead guitar.

Stuart recently played the Tavern with Danni Wilde, but has toured extensively in Europe with Eddie Floyd, Marcus Malone, Geno Washington and Never the Bride.

On bass guitar he has Roger Inness - one of the Uk’s finest bassists who has played with artists in different genres from the Jazz of Mari Wilson and Don Weller, the Blues of Climax Blues Band and Mick Pini, to the Soul and Pop of people like Chaka Khan and Edwin Starr.

Drummer Anthony Harty, another guest from Selecter, makes up this high quality Blues foursome.

The gig starts at 4pm and the door charge is £8.
