Legendary and iconic songwriter Martin Simpson is coming to Lincoln for his upcoming show, staged at the Unison Club on Saturday, July 16 at 8pm.

Simpson really should be a name known to all, his unique talent as a guitarist and vocalist alike is next to none. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see him live in concert.

Hailing from Scunthorpe, Simpson is one of the country’s most recognised folk singers with every component of his performance as flawless as the next.

His distinct steel-stringed guitar sound is idiosyncratic and praised by the guitar community.

His work is diverse, catering for a wide range of audiences ranging from traditional to acoustic, collaborating with other well-known artists, from June Tabor to Jackson Browne.

The calibre of his work and talent is shown in the fact he has been nominated for Musician of the Year, Best Instrumentalist and Best Album & Best Song categories of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, frequently emerging as the winner.
