THE Electric Light Orchestra Greatest Hits show, performed live by the incredible ELO Experience, is back on the road again.

Creating an uplifting atmosphere within the theatre walls, this seven-piece band will provide two hours of nostalgia, taking the audience back to the days when the likes of Wild West Hero, Shine a little Love and Mr Blue Sky were first heard.

Forty years ago, an idea conceived by Birmingham musician Roy Wood resulted in the formation of a band known as the Electric Light Orchestra, aka ELO.

This band, taken over and nurtured by Jeff Lynne, became one of the most remarkable success stories in pop music history.

Between 1972 and 1986, ELO enjoyed 26 Top 40 hits in the UK, as well as 20 in the USA.

The fantastic songs and arrangements have stood the test of time and incredibly, still sound like modern productions.

The ELO Experience perform all the hits in a two hour show – in their line up of two cellists, three guitarists, keyboard player and drummer – at Grimsby Auditorium on Friday, May 25.
