This Sunday sees a change from the guitar led Blues Acts that usually perform at the Hope Tavern with the appearance of The Dale Storr Trio.
Dale Storr’s musical journey has taken him from his rural Lincolnshire upbringing to his own musical mecca, New Orleans.
His early musical interests were inspired by his parents’ record collection of early rock ‘n’ roll and country music, and his interest grew deeper when he began playing the piano at the age of six, cocking an ear to the piano-based music of Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and Fats Domino.
The evocative music of New Orleans became a passion for the young musician who immersed himself into the styles of other heroes like Professor Longhair, Tuts Washington and James Booker.
The Dale Storr Trio will be playing at the Holton le Moor venue this Sunday, April 5, starting at 4pm; door charge £8.
