Tommy Allen’s Trafficker plays this Sunday’s Blues session at The Hope Tavern in Holton le Moor.
A regular visitor to the Tavern over the years with both Trafficker and The Blues Duo, Tommy has always proved to be one of their most popular acts, as he is when playing any number of festivals around the country.
Guitarist, singer and songwriter, Tommy started out in his younger years working as a sideman to some of the big names in the blues scene.
In 2001, Tommy needed a band to perform his own original songs, so Trafficker was born.
The band toured endlessly and by the end of 2006 it was time for a change.
So, in 2007, ‘The Blues Duo’ was formed with his close friend Johnny Hewitt and they were off on the road – this was something brand new and very different and as the Duo became more popular Trafficker was off road and parked up waiting for an overhaul.
Now Trafficker are back in the studio with brand new songs, a new line up and fresh hunger for the road ahead.
The show on Sunday, September 6, starts at 4pm and the door charge is £8.
