Just as things are hotting up in Brazil for the World Cup, parents closer to home will be pleased to hear booking is now open for a week-long football-themed holiday club for their youngsters to enjoy this summer.

And best of all, it’s free to take part.

Go for Goal is organised by Market Rasen New Life Church and is open to boys and girls from 5 to 11 years of age.

The club will ‘kick off’ at 11am each day, from Monday August 11 to Friday August 15, with gates opening daily at 10.45am.

The venue is Market Rasen Primary School,

There are 60 places available at this fully supervised event, which is run by a team of teenage and adult DBS volunteers.

“Go For Goal will include all sorts of creative crafts as well as an array of football-themed challenges and team games,” said Rhona Sheppard, Youth Development Worker for New Life.

“It will be a great place to make new friends and have fun.”

“Early booking is advised, as last year’s Mission Rescue Holiday Club was over-subscribed.”

Parents and carers can leave their children at this supervised holiday club and pick them up at the end.

Or why not stay and watch the fun from the on-site cafe and enjoy a relaxed chat and cuppa.

Booking and registration forms are available now from Rhona Sheppard on 01673 843179 or the New Life Church Office 01673 849941.

Forms are also available from local primary schools, at Market Rasen Library and the town’s the Co-op store.

Alternatively request a form through the church website, which can be found at
