THE internationally renowned Scunthorpe Co-operative Junior Choir will be performing in Market Rasen this month.
The choir has been formed for more than 80 years and consists of up to 200 youngsters divided into two training choirs and the 100 strong main choir, made up of choristers aged from 10-20 years of age.
In 2008 they were named BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year and the following year were invited to take part in the BBC Proms performing Handel’s Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall.
Now the choir will be performing in Market Rasen Methodist Church on Saturday, June 25, when there will also be a guest appearance by Market Rasen Junior Choir and Youth Singers.
The concert starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £8 on the door, which includes the programme, and children are admitted free of charge.
