The annual Bardney Gala returns this Bank Holiday weekend with entertainment on show for the whole family.

On Sunday, August 25 between 1pm and 5pm at Bardney Playing Field organisers have gone all out to find a mix of activities that will keep everyone happy.

There will be a Medieval Monk, talking about his life and times, whilst giving interactive demonstrations of medieval cooking, Leyo the clown will be on hand to keep younger visitors happy and Musicality will lead an old-time sing-along.

There will also be a Zumba demonstration, street dance workshop and classic vehicles.

As well as entertainment there will be craft stalls, trad and community stands and a car boot sale.

Refreshments will be on site, including a bar and barbecue.

There are a number of competitions to get involved in on the day, including the ever-popular children’s races and novelty dog show.

The Gala will open with the presentation of the Bardney Development Youth Shield to be given to a young person under 18 who has achieved something remarkable or overcome adversity.

The fun begins with the Bardney Toddler Group parade followed by the fancy dress competition with this year’s theme of ‘outer space’ with classes of four and under and five to eight years.

Full details of the day can be found on the website, the Bardney Gala Facebook page, or by phoning 01526 399269.
