Market Rasen Library is gearing up for a record-breaking summer.
On Saturday, July 11, along with libraries across the country, staff will launch the summer reading challenge, in association with the Reading Agency charity, which is aimed at children aged four to 11 and their families.
This year’s theme is the Guiness World Records and, as part of the challenge, both children and adults are being asked to make a pledge to help set a new Guinness World Records™ title for the most pledges received for a reading campaign.
And Market Rasen has been chosen as one of only seven Lincolnshire libraries to collect pledges.
Pledges could be from the children signing up to take part in the challenge to read six or more library books of their choice over the summer holidays, or adults pledging to read to their children.
Go along to Market Rasen Library between 10.30am and 12.30pm on July 11, when there will also be craft activities and refreshments.
