The parish church of St Peter and St Paul was aglow with 34 beautifully decorated Christmas trees for the 10th annual tree festival.

The large tree was decorated by church officials whilst the others were sponsored and decorated by local groups and businesses - Systematic Print Management Ltd, Whitegate House Kindergarten, Parish Church Sunday Club, 2nd Caistor Brownies, 1st Caistor Guides, Caistor and District Male Voice Choir, Caistor and District Flower Club, GL Commercials, Mr and Mrs K Flunder, Grasby All Saints Church of England Primary School. ‘Get in Roger’ Chimney Sweep, Ian Martin Motor Engineers, RNLI Caistor Branch, Caistor Child Minders, RAOB ‘Spire Lodge’ Immingham, DFDS Ltd, Caistor Parish Church Bell Ringers, Caistor in Bloom Group, Caistor Rainbows Pre-School Playgroup, Caistor Primary School, Caistor Grammar School, Lincolnshire Montessori School, Caistor Women’s Institute, Caistor Methodist Church, The Garfoot Family in Memory of Mrs Florrie Garfoot, Mrs J Fox, Dr and Mrs M Stopper, Caistor Civic Society, Don Morgan in Memory of Kath, One Acre Cattery- Nettleton Park, RAOB ‘Pride of Caistor’ Lodge, Mary Taylor - Alzheimer’s Support Group, Caistor Mothers’ Union and Caistor First Responders (LIVES).

The Rev Canon Ian Robinson thanked everyone for their generosity and for the kind donations from the many visitors.

All money raised will be divided between the Parish Church and St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice.

Thanks were given to Robert Jackson and Peter Robinson who assisted with the delivery of the trees, to Mr and Mrs Stephen Savage who provided the storage and to the team who worked so hard to get the church ready.
