See a true battle of heroes as four medieval knights gather at Lincoln Castle to take part in a thrilling tournament.
On Saturday August 2 and Sunday August 3, visitors to the castle will be invited to watch these champions compete in mounted skill at arms and a fully-armoured, full-contact medieval joust.
Jon Hogan from the castle said: “The knights will pit all their strength against each other in thrilling competitions that will test their skills on horseback to the limit.
“As an added attraction, our master falconer will be treating visitors to flying displays with his birds of prey, and there’ll be hunting games on horseback with noble ladies.
“We’ll have medieval music and dance from our duo of players and lots of mischief from our jester.
“And our trip back to the 15th century will be completed by a living history encampment of soldiers and civilians from the Lincoln Castle Garrison.
“There’ll also be plenty for children to do too, from hobby horse jousting to medieval soldiers drill and medieval games.
“Don’t miss out on all the fun.”
Entry to the event costs £8 for adults, £6.40 for concession, £4.80 for children and £20.80 for families.
The castle is open from 10am to 6pm, with events and activities taking place between 10.30am and 5pm.
The joust itself will be held at 3.30pm.
