Bigger, noisier and better than ever - Briggstock acoustic festival is back and full details have been announced for the celebration of music in and around Brigg Market Place this weekend.
The main stage will be located there on Saturday, August 31, but busking stations will be positioned throughout the town from Bridge Street, through Wrawby Street and the old attractive courtyards.
A map will be available from the Brigg Tourist Information Office and on the Briggstock stall for any visitors.
“The day is packed with over 13 local and regional bands performing a vibrant mix of acoustic music which will appeal to everyone; Brigg is a must for all contemporary music lovers,” said Malcolm Bailey, events organiser, Brigg Town Business Partnership.
The whole event is free, with buskers starting at 10am and music on the main stage at 11am; it is planned for “live” music in the town until 7pm.
Briggstock is put on by Brigg Town Business Partnership, which is working actively with its members and associates to promote the town and its businesses.
The festival is part of the partnership’s 2013 campaign to attract visitors to enjoy the great atmosphere in Brigg and experience shopping at the varied and independent retailers.
Byron Teague, Chairman of Brigg Town Business Partnership said: “Please come along to support the performers of all ages at this free event; Encourage the amazing talent so that we can continue to build on the success for a third year.
“Take the opportunity to wander around our lovely town, visit the unique shops, cafes and pubs; I am sure you will enjoy your day in Brigg.”
