People across the area are putting the kettle on to take part in this year’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event on Friday, September 27.
Money raised at the coffee mornings will go to Macmillan Cancer Support to help fund the services they provide for those facing cancer and their families.
Last year, the event raised £15 million nationwide and it is hoped this year’s target will top that.
And locally, here are just some of venues hosting a coffee morning:
North Kelsey Village Hall, 10am to 1pm
Claxby Village Hall in Normanby Rise from 10.30am onwards. All cakes welcome, along with the bakers, their friends and families.
Osgodby School, 10am to 11.30am - with cakes and raffle.
Caistor Grammar School, from 10am to approximately 11.30am.
Binbrook Village Hall, 10am to 12 noon - cake stall, book/video stall, plant stall, card stall, tombola and raffle. Donations, cakes and prizes welcome, call 01472 398252 or 07792 135055.
Middle Rasen Methodist Church, 10am to 12 noon.
In addition to all the coffee mornings, Lindsey Rural Players will be putting on an additional matinee performance of their October production - Cheshire Cats - in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The play runs from October 10 to 12 at The Broadbent Theatre in Wickenby and the special matinee performance will be on the Saturday, October 12, at 3pm.
Tickets for this and the other performances can be booked on 01673 885500 or through the website at www.broadbent.org
