This month’s speciality
market event in Market Rasen focuses on horticulture.

And instead of the usual one day, this time round it runs over two days, Saturday June 6 and Sunday, June 7.

Organised by Market Rasen Lions and Steve Penney of Waltham Herbs in Caistor, the gardeners’ market will offer everything to keep garden lovers happy.

All types of plants and garden accessories will be on offer, as well as fruit and vegetables, plus hot and cold food.

And in the Festival Hall, there will be stalls selling crafts and gifts.

The market and craft and gift fair runs from 10am to 4pm both days.

Also open throughout the weekend is St Thomas’s Church in the town’s Market Place.

Tea, coffee and cakes will be served in the church room from 10am to 4pm on the Saturday and from 12 noon to 4pm on the Sunday.

And, keeping with the gardening theme, there will be a display of flowers on a train theme, to link in with the town’s train enthusiasts with their model railway display, also in the church room

And the garden-theme will return to the market later this summer.

The Rotary Club of Market Rasen will be organising the Open Gardens and summer market event in the town on Saturday, August 1.
