ONE OF the area’s foremost singer-songwriters will be performing in Market Rasen this week.

Abi Moore will be appearing this Friday at the Red Lion in King Street, starting at 9pm.

Originally from East Keal, Abi has lived in different corners of Lincolnshire for most of her life, including Lincoln and Middle Rasen, but is now based in Grantham.

Abi is, perhaps, the most prolific original and independent recording artist Lincolnshire has.

She has released two critically acclaimed albums: The Aftermath of ‘96 in 2006 and Things We Should’ve Said in 2009, with her third album due out this year on her own independent record label, Honest Records.

As well as writing the songs, she also arranges all the instruments, plays most of them, and then records, edits, mixes and produces all her own work in her studio.

Abi is also planning a European tour in May and June, and already has a show booked in Budapest, with the hope of playing live in Bratislava, Munich and Vienna as well.
