TAKE a trip back to the war years with some half-term fun at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life next week.
On Thursday, October 27, the museum will be holding a family crafts day called Waste Not, Want Not.
Running from 10am to 3.30pm, visitors will be transported back to the days of rationing, when people were urged to ‘make do and mend’ and books were issued teaching thrifty skills.
“This is the ideal way to keep the kids entertained over the half-term,” said district manager Nicola Rogers.
“You’ll have the chance to enjoy fantastic new crafts and make toys from everyday junk and recycled objects.
“Just collect your ration book from reception, and use the coupons to join in the fun. And after that, why not try our free craft trail around the museum?”
Entry to the museum is free, but there will be a charge of £1 for some of the craft activities.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
