Caistor will be full of festive flair this Saturday, November 29, with a Christmas Market, open shopping and Christmas Tree Lights switch on event.
The fun starts at 2pm with the outdoor market, featuring the Christmas fayre, locally produced meats and game, unusual gifts, seasonal drinks and much, much more from the professional purveyors, as well as local groups raising much-needed funds.
And to keep everyone entertained, there will also be music from Da Capo, Trev Cunnington, Hebden Woods & Barefoot Angels and The Springs Band.
Discover the town’s shops too around the Market Place, Cornhill and South Street.
Viking FM’s Courage The Cat will be joining the fun mid-afternoon and helping collect cash for kids and presenters will help the town mayor and his two special guests switch the lights on after dark.
There will then be a chance to marvel at the town’s 45-foot Christmas tree -the tallest in the region. And, of course, no seasonal switch-on would be complete without a visit from Santa and his helpers, who will be visiting the event courtesy of Caistor and District Lions Club.
