Former De Aston pupil Richard John is enjoying a great response to his first novel.
The novel - When Crocodiles Cry - is a political thriller set at the beginning of the twenty first century in the aftermath of the Good Friday Agreement.
“I used to love English literature classes at De Aston, which is probably where my passion for writing comes from,” said Richard.
“This book has been a labour of love, but I’ve been so delighted by the feedback I’m now desperately trying to find time to complete my second novel.”
Richard, who used to live in Linwood Road and attended De Aston from 1973-80, graduated from Warwick University and worked for a number of major companies in marketing and management roles before setting up his own consultancy practice, based in Spalding.
