Hall Farm Park at South Kelsey was the venue for a Nativity with the Animals.
Mary and Joseph were played by Jack Mallinson and Molly Jones, who were led through the park by Billie, a former Cleethorpes donkey now retired and based at Osgodby Cats Rescue. Billie was led by Trevor Lewis.
The shepherds and wise men were guided by a star, carried by Reece, Dillon and Iggi Bird.
When Mary and Joseph knocked at the door of the inn the publican sent them on to the stable next door.
The shepherds were played by Jill Commander and Trevor Lewis and the wise men by John Topliss, Rodney Pitt and Julian Precious.
The barn was packed and the play took place to a background of noise from donkeys, goats and other animals.
Carols were sung to accompaniment on the keyboard from Jane Beeson.
The narrator of the familiar Christmas story was the Vicar of the Kelsey Group of Churches, Father Geoffrey Spencer and the event was held courtesy of Andrew and Tracy Knapton who run the park.
