Market Rasen is set to sizzle this weekend as the festive season gets underway.
Traditional Christmas Markets take place this Friday and Saturday, December 6 and 7.
The Friday market takes place in the market place and Market Place Walk, with many shops open late too.
The event will see town organisations manning stalls, favourite foods, bell ringing from 4.30pm to 5pm, a light switch-on at 6pm, schoolchildren singing from 6pm to 7pm, carol singing with Churches Together from 7pm to 7.30pm and the town band playing from 7.30pm to 8pm.
The Saturday market is a bumper BIG market, packed with artisan stalls and great gift ideas.
Da Capo singers will be performing in the Market Place from noon too. And on both days children can follow the Elf Trail to claim a Christmas treat and also be in with a chance to win tickets for the Boxing Day races, courtesy of Market Rasen Racecourse.
To take part, visit each shop or café, find the Elf and ask his name; write it down and take your completed sheet to Garnett’s Sweet Shop for a prize.
Shops will be taking part in a Christmas window competition, so look out for the poster and pop in to get a voting slip. All who vote have the chance to win a Christmas hamper from Greens Of Lincolnshire.
