Lindsey Lodge Hospice is spreading Christmas cheer across North Lincolnshire with more than 20 festive events in December. There are festive fairs, carol services and of course the not-to-be-missed festive family event called Santa Stride on Saturday, December 12.
“Our event calendar is packed this December with fun-filled action for all the family and they are inexpensive to attend too,” said Mel Banham, head of fundraising at Lindsey Lodge Hospice.
“Our Carol Service will be a fantastic Christmassy event featuring The Elderberries and it is donation only to enter.
“Another family friendly event is Santa Stride and we already have 100 people entering.
“There are another 50 free Santa suits available for entrants- so don’t be too late to get yours!
“It’s a fun 2.5km walk for all abilities starting at the New Life Church in Scunthorpe.
“We truly appreciate people attending our events because they make a real difference to the care of people in North Lincolnshire with end of life illnesses.”
Events include a Christmas Coffee Morning next Wednesday, December 2, from 10am to noon at Burton Village Hall.
There is also the chance to enjoy folk music and carols at the YuleFest on Tuesday December 8 from 7.30pm at Old Brumby United Church. Tickets cost £5 and can be booked on 01652 652670.
Take your friends along to Afternoon Tea and Christmas Bingo on Thursday December 17 from 2pm at Messingham Village Hall. It is £6 and for more information call Val on 01724 764324.
There is also the opportunity to sing along at the afternoon Hospice Carol Service on Tuesday, 8th December from 2pm at Old Brumby United Church. There will be chance to view the Christmas Trees from the Christmas Tree Festival too.
And of course the famous Santa Stride takes place on Saturday December 12 from 10am at the New Life Church. It is a fun walk for all ages and suits all abilities. To book call the hospice on 01724 843731.
