Renowned artwork by Matisse, Picasso, Dalí and Warhol is making a much-anticipated appearance at Lincoln’s Usher Gallery.
The Modern Masters exhibition brings together some of history’s most iconic and recognisable prints, courtesy of London’s Victoria and Albert Museum where it enjoyed a sell-out run.
It is the first time work by these giants of 20th century art has gone on display in the county.
Included in the exhibition are Warhol’s iconic Pop Art images of Marilyn Monroe and Campbell’s Soup Cans, Matisse’s Reclining Nude with a Fruit Bowl and Blue Nude IV, Dalí’s The Persistence of Memory and prints for the Paris Metro, and Picasso’s The Frugal Repast and The Old Guitarist.
Modern Masters: Matisse, Picasso Dalí and Warhol opens at the Usher on Friday and runs until March 30.
It is open daily from 10am until 4pm, with last entry at 3.45pm; admission is free.
