AN exhibition of instruments used in criminal trials as punishment is on display this month.
Medieval Torture Instruments is a collection of more than 50 exhibits widely used as methods of physical punishment and forms of humiliation in trials in the 16th and 17th centuries.
And while revealing chilling historical facts, the show reminds us that torture is still carried out today.
The exhibition will be at The Collection in Lincoln until September 2, 10am to 4pm. Entry is £4 for adults and £3 concessions; under 13s free but must be accompanied by an adult.
