Lincolnshire Group of the Hardy Plant Society is delighted to have Roy Lancaster as speaker at its next meeting in Welton’s William Farr School on Saturday, September 26, at 2pm.

Plant hunter, TV and radio broadcaster, writer and lecturer, Roy’s talk is entitled ‘A Plantsman’s Garden’.

Roy has also been a very active president of the society for many years. Here is a rare chance to meet him.

In 2011, the Institute of Horticulture awarded Roy the President’s Award.

He said: “My own garden in Hampshire is filled with plants of all kinds and is a perennial source of challenge, surprise, excitement and relaxation to me.

“It is also a continuing source of stories and memories to share with those who garden and, more importantly, those who, given the spark of encouragement, just might.”

Tickets for the talk are £5 for members and £10 for non-members. Admission includes tea/coffee and cake and there is ample on-site parking, with disabled access and WCs.
