‘Super Saturdays’ tournament begins at a Swallownest club
The Swallownest Bowling Club ‘Super Saturdays’ tournament began at the weekend, at their King Street facility.
Sixty-four local bowlers, some of them All England Championship contenders, are battling it out for a grand prize of £1,000.
The 64 will be whittled down to a final eight, through a seres of play-offs on 15th, 22nd and 29th June.
The final will be held on 6th July.

The entry fee is £15 for competitors, but the tournament is free for spectators and all are welcome.
