Ryuichi Kiyonari will be hoping that history repeats itself when he returns to Assen for round 10 of the 2015 British Superbike Championship this weekend.
The Market Rasen-based rider will be seeking a similar result to the brace of second places he achieved at the Dutch circuit, known as the Cathedral of Speed, this time last year.
Kiyo was at the top of his game and lying second to Shakey Byrne last year in the overall standings, but unfortunately things have not worked his way so far in the current campaign.
After nine non-finishes with technical problems affecting the Buildbase BMW as well as crashes, Kiyo is floundering down in 15th position.
But he had a good Oulton Park where he scored points in each of the three races and perhaps Assen will be the turning point of his season.
Free practice takes place on Friday at 10.15am and 3.45pm with a final session on Saturday at 10.35am.
The three-stage qualifier takes place at 4.45pm on Saturday and results from this will set the grid for the first 18-lap race on Sunday at 12.25pm.
The second race is scheduled for a start at 4.30pm.
