Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club assistant coach Wayne Noon returned to his roots last week to reward future stars in the making.
The former Northamptonshire and Notts player came home to Caistor to present the trophies at Caistor Cricket Club’s junior presentation evening.
Noon started his cricket at Caistor Primary School under the tutelage of Roy Sutton before going on to play senior cricket for Caistor from the age of 13.
He played through the county age group sides for Lincolnshire CCC for the under 11s, under 12s, under 13s and under 15s before going on to play professional cricket.
Noon is pictured with Harry Caines who led Caistor CC Under 15s to the league championship which they won from runners-up Market Rasen.
