The ladies of Market Rasen and District Golf Club played for The Newstead Trophy, a par/bogey competition, on Wednesday June 15.
The outright winner with a score of plus four was Ann Todd, who continues her winning form of late and reduced her handicap to 12.
Jenny Holborn was in second place with plus two, third Aileen Sellars who played to level par for her handicap and fourth Sally White also playing level par.
The past captains enjoyed meeting for their annual game of golf followed by a very pleasant meal on June 9.
The winner of the Mortimer Trophy was Vera Allard who was ladies captain in 2000, scoring an impressive 40 stableford points. In second place 1985 captain, Joan Lacey, who scored 35 points and third Pauline Neal, 1996 captain with 34 points.
The club’s league teams have again been in action. The A Team played at home against Grimsby and won 3-1 and the B Team also playing at home beat Gainsborough 4-0.
