Prestigious occasion for Lincolnshire darts

ONE of the best tournaments ever in the history of Lincolnshire opens takes place next month.

The Lincolnshire Open – The 4th Resurrection Day – takes place at Rileys in Lincoln’s Crofton Road on Easter Sunday, April 8.

Already entered into the ladies’ competition are nine-times world champion Trina Gulliver, current world number one lady Deta Hedman and gold cup singles winner Lisa Ashton.

And lined up in the men’s competition are last year’s mens open winner Dave Smith, former Lincolnshire Open winner Paul Harvey and world ranked Andy Beardsmore.

A host of Lincolnshire County Players have entered ready to battle it out with the professionals.

The open has a first prize for men of £1,001 and £401 for the ladies, with E.D.O Ranking Points and Grand Prix Points too.

Entrants must be eligible to enter the World Pro and Winmau World Masters, as winners of the open will qualify for these playoffs.

Entry fees are £10 mens or £15 on the day and £8 ladies or £12 on the day.
