Lincolnshire lass Nadia Gollings has been appointed General Manager of Market Rasen Racecourse, succeeding Pip Kirkby in the role.
The 30-year-old daughter of racehorse trainer Steve Gollings has worked for Jockey Club Racecourses for seven years, the last two as General Manager of Huntingdon Racecourse in Cambridgeshire.
“Having grown up in the racing industry, I have a lifelong passion for horse racing and I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to progress my career in the sport further within Jockey Club Racecourses,” she said.
“I am delighted to be joining the team at Market Rasen Racecourse and excited about starting my new role there as General Manager.”
In her new position, she will be part of the senior team delivering more than 20 race meetings a year at Market Rasen, including the popular Ladies’ Days, Summer Plate Day and Boxing Day meets, as well as continuing the drive for growth across all other areas of the business, including conferences and events.
“Nadia comes to us with a strong background in racing and racecourse management, so I am sure that she is highly capable of filling the position vacated by Pip Kirkby,” said Colin ‘Bud’ Booth, Chairman of Market Rasen Racecourse.
“We look forward very much to her joining the Market Rasen team in the spring.”
Pip Kirkby is moving on to become the new chief executive of the Pony Club.
