Market Rasen Racecourse heralded its ambassador, teenage jockey Sean Bowen, after he picked up two national awards.
The Stobart ‘Lesters’, held just days before Rasen’s big Boxing Day meet, are the sport’s equivalent of the Oscars. Just nine are given each year.
Bowen, who celebrated his 18th birthday in September, was named Racing Excellence ‘Conditional Jockey of the Year’ at the ceremony held in Birmingham last Tuesday night.
He also received the At The Races ‘Jump Ride of the Year’ for his performance on board Just A Par at Sandown Park Racecourse on the final day of the 2014/15 jump racing season.
Nadia Gollings, general manager of Market Rasen Racecourse, said: “This is a fantastic accolade for and achievement by Sean – two Lesters as a teenager.
“We were delighted when he accepted our offer in the spring to become our first ambassador and we look forward to a growing partnership between us.”
Seven of the Lesters were voted for by members of the Professional Jockeys Association.
The other two – including Sean’s second award – were chosen by racing fans, in his case viewers of TV racing channel At The Races.
Meanwhile, preparations for Boxing Day racing at Lincolnshire’s only racecourse continue apace.
A big crowd is expected for the traditional festive race meeting.
A field of 12 horses will contest the Clugston Lincolnshire National, including former winner Soudain.

Accompanied under 18s are admitted free of charge.
Adult tickets can be bought at www.marketrasenraces.co.uk or by telephone on 0844 579 3009. They are also available on the day.
