Tom Bean completed a hat-trick of titles as he was crowned Market Rasen Golf Club champion for the third year running.
The club held its championship weekend on Saturday and Sunday when both the men’s and seniors’ championships were contested.
Tom was a model of consistency as he shot two gross rounds of 72 to take the Harmsworth Trophy by four strokes on aggregate from Jacob Morley who has only recently turned 18 and left the junior section.
The leaderboard had a young feel to it with junior member Luke Parkinson finishing third after rounds of 74 and 76.
Robert Crowe won the nett competition with rounds of 71 and 67 and took home the new Tony Chester Salver which commemorates the club professional’s 43 years of service.
Gaff Elliott was second in the nett standings with an aggregate 143, one better than third-placed Steve Hewish who posted rounds of 74 and 70.
Luke Parkinson did have the consolation of receiving the Thomas Shield as junior club champion which had been fought out earlier.
Junior captain Charlie Hinchcliffe was second, while Charlie Elliott shot the best nett score.
The Senior Championship also saw a familiar face top the leaderboard as Gaff Elliott retained his title with a round of 75.
Phil Clifford was three shots back with Neil Carmichael a further shot adrift in third.
Dave Garland posted the day’s best nett round of 69, followed by Bryan Allison (70) and Ray Joyce (71).
