STUDENTS are being encouraged to volunteer their time to help sports clubs and organisations in Lincolnshire.
Next week, February 20 to 28, is Student Volunteer Week and the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership is encouraging people to sign up for Sport Makers – a programme which sees people give something back to the community.
Lincolnshire Sports Partnership’s workforce development manager Lizzie Couling said: “There are lots of benefits to students who volunteer in sport; by gaining new skills they are building their CV, and by working with local clubs or organisations they are giving something back to their local area.
“Sport Makers is a great way to get involved with sports volunteering, and I hope students across Lincolnshire get involved.”
Sport Makers aims to recruit 548 new volunteers in Lincolnshire over the next two years. For more information visit sportmakers.co.uk or call Lizzie on 01522 585 580.
